✳︎ To provide customers with an immersive interaction with the Coca-Cola brand, we brought the Marvel Universe to life through an innovative augmented reality (AR) experience. The project introduces a dynamic on-package AR experience that enhances Coca-Cola’s limited edition packaging. This groundbreaking initiative features exclusive designs showcasing 32 iconic characters from the Marvel Universe on Coca‑Cola and Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar bottles and cans. Each character is crafted with multi-state animations and visual effects, allowing virtual heroes and villains to spring from the collectibles, delivering immediate surprise and delight.

In this interactive journey, you can engage with your virtual character as they strike their epic hero pose. Rotate your device to capture a complete 360-degree ︎︎︎ virtual view of each collectible. Each character can be saved to your account, allowing you to track and build your collection over time. The platform encourages sharing, enabling the spread of excitement with friends.

Using Procreate, we illustrated every scene to visualize character movement and interaction for our AR animators.

STORYBOARDS

Iron Man

1. Iron Man bursts out flying around in a loop and lands in an iconic three-point pose.
   
   
2. A stylized HUD takes over the phone screen and scans Iron Man for a few seconds.

3. For this looped animation, Iron Man hovers side to side in his iconic pose while jet streams come out of his palms.

4. User taps and holds the screen to charge up Iron Man's Arc Reactor as a power meter HUD fills up.
