Problem
During the pandemic, at-home consultations were no longer viable for customers and consultants.
Consultations were halted and ultimately dissolved for health and safety.How might we provide a safe color advice experience during Covid-19?

Customers can now speak online with color experts for personalized advice to choose paint colors quickly, confidently, and safely.From the launch in summer ‘20 to early ‘22

STEP 1 Enter information
The collected information (name, email, phone number, and zip code) helps personalize communication and connects a customer with a local consultant.

When a customer describes their project and uploads photos of their space / inspiration, their consultant is now better informed before recommending colors.

Wireframes
Mapped out how a customer schedules a consultation, clarifying the steps in a consultation request form.
Low fidelity
Iterated versions of the hero, consultation details, request form, customer testimonials, and color consultant sections. We featured S-W’s Color of the Year as potential inspiration.
Latest
The most recent designs include a 3-step process to successfully schedule a virtual consultation followed by a confirmation page that encourages customers to take a look at other color advice resources provided by Sherwin-Williams.
The ones that got away
These “head in the clouds” designs were ultimately scrapped in order to more closely align to the Sherwin-Williams’ design system, but still live on in our daydreaming minds.
